He goes, “I saw them live. Talked to their dead drummer.”
I’m like, “Oh, that’s sick! Are you serious?!”
He says, “Yeaaah. The concert wasn’t that great; the only good part was when they played ‘Afterlife.’ I went with —- who was it? Oh, yeah, it was Cody! We went about three years ago down at the beach.”
My face was shocked because, one, he didn’t tell me he went. Two, he talked to The Rev. Three, he didn’t even act shocked or anything. Finally, he just dubbed Jimmy as “their dead drummer”; come on, bro. Have some kinda respect.

Anonymous asked: How did you react to The Rev's death?
Well, I mean. I first heard it when I was home alone, sitting in my recliner in my living room, listening to Sirius XM Octane. I was SO appalled, I couldn’t even move out of my seat. I literally dropped everything, and kept repeating, “No, God. No, God. No, God” to myself, grasping my face and shaking my head.
I was incredulous. Ya know how M. said “Some say this can’t be real?” I felt that exact same way when I found out. Plus, the fact that his death occurred so close to New Year’s and Christmas made everything just a TAD bit heavier… just a TAD bit.
I didn’t cry until later that night when I realized one of my inspirations had died off the face of our planet before I could even meet him, to tell him how much he inspired me.
Most people go, “Wow. You’re a dumbass!” Or something stupid like that, I’m like… yeah. I forgot we were all born omniscient.
I just thought it was Matt doing some reeeaaally high pitched singing; same goes for the “Telling them it’s all for something real…” chorus part in “Critical Acclaim”!
I’m a better fan now; I know who all sings what in their songs :D
